Editorial policy

What we publish
PlaceBets.ai publishes odds research and betting education for adults: live sportsbook prices, line-movement history, calculators, and plain-English guides. We do not take bets, hold player funds, sell picks, or accept payment for a place in any ranking. We are not a sportsbook.
Where the numbers come from
Prices come from licensed sportsbook feeds and public schedule feeds, and every row carries the timestamp of the reading it came from. When a book posts no price, the row says so; when a feed is stale, the page says so. We never fill a gap with an estimate and label it live. Our calculators run on the numbers you type, and the formulas are shown on the page.
Who writes and edits
Guides are written and maintained by the PlaceBets.ai editorial desk. We do not publish invented author personas, stock-photo bylines, or qualifications nobody holds. Each guide shows the date it was last changed, and that date moves only when the copy actually changes.
How we make money
Some sportsbook links are affiliate links: if a reader opens an account through one, we may be paid a commission. Every such link is disclosed next to the link and on our affiliate disclosure page. Commission never changes a price, a best-price calculation, a win rate, or the order of a comparison. Advertising and affiliate units are labelled and kept out of the main answer on a page.
Corrections
If a price, date, rule or statistic is wrong, tell us through the contact form with the URL and what you saw. We correct the page, bump its reviewed date when the substance changes, and do not quietly delete a row to make a record look better. The retired model's pick ledger is append-only for exactly that reason.
What we will not publish
- Guaranteed wins, “locks”, or claims that any bet is risk-free.
- Odds, lines or statistics we cannot timestamp to a real feed.
- Pages built only to rank for a query with no answer a reader can use.
- Targeting of anyone under 21, or advice on evading state or sportsbook rules.
