Israel Joffe

The person behind PlaceBets.ai spent part of his career enforcing federal rules at two of the country’s best-known agencies, and the other part getting thrown around a Brooklyn wrestling ring by a WWE Hall of Famer. Both halves show up in how this site is built.

Regulator first: the FDIC and the FDA

Before any of the sites in this network existed, Israel Joffe served the federal government at the FDIC and the FDA — two agencies where the rules are the product and getting them wrong is not an option. He is a senior project manager and executive based in Boca Raton, Florida, holding PMP #3371929 (Project Management Professional) and PMI-CPMAI #2509803 (AI Project Management Professional, expires 9/2/2028), and he specialises in AI-driven project delivery, fintech transformation, and enterprise automation.

That is the part of the background this site actually leans on: work that has to be documented, audited and explained to people who did not build it. Odds pages, calculators and explainers either hold up when someone checks the numbers, or they are noise. The federal years are why “check the numbers” is the default here rather than a slogan.

Trained by Johnny Rodz at World of Unpredictable Wrestling

For years Israel Joffe trained under WWE Hall of Famer Johnny Rodz at World of Unpredictable Wrestling (WUW) in Brooklyn — the old-school school attached to the independent scene around Gleason’s Gym. He did not just show up for training: he helped build and maintain Johnny Rodz’s websites and social media, so he was carrying the promotion’s web presence while learning the craft in the ring.

Combat sport runs in the other direction too. Israel Joffe holds a 2nd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, promoted by UFC Hall of Famer Matt Serra. Between wrestling and jiu-jitsu, there is a long, unbroken record of turning up, doing the reps and getting graded by people who have no reason to be polite about it.

New York roots, firefighter time, Florida base

Born and raised in New York City and the Five Towns on Long Island, Israel Joffe is a volunteer firefighter with the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department and served during Hurricane Sandy. He moved to Washington, DC in 2016, then to the Palm Beach area in 2021, and works today out of Boca Raton.

His media and IT background covers Fox 5 News, ABC News, Fox News and Starwood/Marriott, and Muck Rack lists his work as seen in Newsweek, Yahoo, WNYW-TV, WTVT-TV and Greenwich Time. On the product side he has helped build the federation’s own tools, including PlaceBets.ai, alongside CreateStuff.ai, Fashionistas.ai, MarketPicks.ai and IHateCollege.com — which is the direct reason this page exists.
